In this paper, the post-buckling strength of thin-plates are studied. The plates are supossed to be subjected to (i)compression, (ii)in-plane bending, (iii)in-plane shear stress states. A simple design formula in terms of effective compressive width is proposed for the post-buckling strength. The applicability of the proposed formula is examined by FEM analyses.
