Abstract

This study designed an automatic multiple bio-signal measurement and warning system that include Electrocardiogram (ECG) and saturation of peripheral oxygen (SPO2) measurement, an emergency call box and a health management interface. We develop a fuzzy threshold algorithm to adjust the threshold of peak detection for ECG and photoplethysmograph signal, there are improved significantly for the peak detection. In the long-term health care, the continuous blood pressure (BP) of the severe disabled can be estimated by using the pulse transit time. The average error rate of the estimated systolic blood pressure was 6.93% and the average error rate of the diastolic blood pressure was 6.6%. So, this system can analyze the vital parameters of the heart rate, heart rate variability, SPO2 and BP etc. Through this system, the health caregiver will be able to quickly understand the important information, and make the most appropriate treatment for patients when the system sends the alert notifications, to avoid accidents; the family members can readily understand the patient’s health status and give a warm care.
