Abstract

In this chapter the unconstrained and constrained optimization algorithms for numerical methods are envisaged. The numerical solutions to the fundamental problems in energy systems are provided. The recent heuristic methods used in power systems are highlighted, and the specific algorithms are proven by simulations. The selection of the best solution is one of the authors’ concern. Therefore, the optimization algorithms along with numerical examples are delivered in this chapter.
