Chaos Synchronization of Coupled Neurons via H-Infinity Control with Cooperative Weights Neural Network

In this paper, an H-infinity control with a cooperative weights neural network is proposed to realize the synchronization of two gap junction coupled chaotic FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) neurons. We first use a cooperative weights neural network to approximate the unknown nonlinear function. Then we employ the H-infinity control technique to attenuate the effects caused by unmodelled dynamics, disturbances and approximate errors. Finally, by Lyapunov method, the overall closed-loop system is shown to be stable and chaos synchronization is obtained. The control scheme is robust to the uncertainties such as unmodelled dynamics, ionic channel noises and external disturbances. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

Blind Image Restoration Based on Wavelet Transform and Wiener Filtering

A blind image restoration method is proposed to estimate the high resolution image when the point spread function (PSF) of the imaging system is unknown or partially known. Firstly, the Gaussian PSF of the degraded image is estimated through Wavelet transform method. Then, utilizing the estimated PSF, high resolution image is estimated through Wiener filtering image restoration method. In order to justify the influence of PSF estimation on the quality of the restored image, image restoration is performed on different PSF. Experimental results show that the deviation of the Gaussian PSF is estimated with high accuracy, as well as that the PSNR and quality of the estimated image increase around the real PSF.

Cooperative R&D Analysis in Time-sensitive Supply Chain under Asymmetry Information

A supply chain with time-sensitive demand is discussed in the paper, which is consisted of a AM (assembly manufacturer) and a CS (component supplier). The R&D price subsidy strategy in supply chain with symmetric information structure was first discussed. Then the R&D price subsidy strategy in supply chain under asymmetry information about CS’s R&D ability was discussed. Some study conclusions which were drawn from a numerical example show that under symmetric information, the higher R&D ability of the CS, the less amount of price subsidy of the AM, and the profit of CS reduced too. But under asymmetry information, in order to stimulate the CS, the AM has to pay additional cost for the unknown R&D ability of the CS, this results in the increase of the amount of price subsidy, and the reduction of the AM’s profit, while the profit of the CS increases due to holding private information. As a result, the whole supply chain coordination can not be achieved.

A MCL-Based Localization Algorithm for Target Binary-Detection of Mobile Nodes

This paper mainly studied the mobile node localization and tracking in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Monte Carlo Localization algorithm (MCL) is widely for mobile node localization and tracking. However, MCL doesn’t consider the influence of different anchor nodes. Thus, we proposed a binary-detection Monte Carlo Localization algorithm (BD MCL), which combines binary-detection with MCL. Our algorithm mainly uses the time of target detection as the node weights in sampling process to enhance the influence of nearer anchor nodes. Simulations show that this new algorithm exhibits better performance than traditional MCL with regards to motion forecast and localization precision.

Medical Images Registration Method Integrating Features and Multiscale Information

Medical image registration is the key technology to the modern medical images and it is the basic issue of medical image fusion. A medical image registration method integrating features and multiscale information is proposed in the paper. Firstly, the edge feature images obtained by Canny operator are registered by Principal Axes method. Secondly, Harris corner detection method was used to extract the corners of the couple images. Then the corners of the couple images are registered by Iterative Closest Point Algorithm (ICP). Finally, the couple medical images were decomposed by wavelet transform, the mutual information is selected as similar measure, and only the low-frequency sub-images were selected as registration objects. Then, the registration process is begun from the coarse scale until the finest scale by Powell algorithm. Thus the medical images registration can be achieved through the above registration procedure. Experiment results show that this method not only can achieve a higher registration accuracy, but also can reduce the computational time greatly. The accurate registration results also can be achieved in the noisy environment.
