Abstract

Huge devastation to humans, and the environment is caused by forest fires, which are one of the forces of nature that are hard to control. Forest ecosystems are destroyed because of this uncontrollable calamity. In this paper, a review is made on previous works done in the field of technology that could be beneficial to detect, control forest fires. Technologies such as GIS, image processing are main sources of this review, further study about these technologies is done in that light. This paper provides, focuses on the usage of the above-mentioned technologies in combating forest fire incidences.
