Abstract
The R-matrix method for electron-atom scattering using the Dirac Hamiltonian is programmed for a general atomic system and the case of electron scattering by Ne+ is considered. Only the results for the electron plus Ne+ system in the J=1 and pi =1 state were evaluated in order to compare with the non-relativistic R-matrix calculations. The cross sections for transitions between the fine-structure levels were also obtained.
