Abstract

The temperature dependences of the thermal expansion and bulk modulus of a Cr-1.0 at.% Ga alloy are reported. Well defined magnetic anomalies are observed in both properties at the incommensurate-commensurate transition despite the absence of an anomaly in the electrical resistivity at atmospheric pressure near 1 at.% Ga.
