Abstract

It is shown that, having precisely located a neutral point in a magnetic field as the point of intersection of two directional loci, it is practicable to draw the lines of force passing through the point. The theory of the field near a neutral point is treated from a geometrical point of view. Examples are shown of fields plotted when a bar magnet is set parallel or at an angle to the earth's horizontal field.
