Abstract

Der Artikel untersucht die räumlich-zeitlichen Aktivitätsmuster und die Habitatnutzung bengalischer Tiger in drei unterschiedlichen Waldmanagementsystemen in Nepal. Es unterstreicht die Bedeutung des Verstehens des Tigerverhaltens sowohl in geschützten als auch in nicht geschützten Gebieten, um Schutzstrategien zu unterstützen. Die Studie nutzt fortgeschrittene Techniken wie Kamerafangmethoden und Belegungsmodellierung, um Tigeraktivitätsmuster in Bezug auf die Verfügbarkeit von Beutetieren, Lebensraumbedingungen und anthropogene Störungen zu analysieren. Die Ergebnisse bieten entscheidende Einblicke in die komplexen Wechselwirkungen zwischen Tigern und ihrer Umwelt und tragen zur Entwicklung wirksamer Managementstrategien für den Tigerschutz bei.
