Lohmann has presented an electrically conductive high-tech adhesive tape at the LOPEC trade fair. It will be used in a prototype of a heating concept for electric cars, which was developed together with partners of the consortium project "Printed Electronics".

LOPEC, one of the leading trade fairs for printed electronics, took place in Munich in March with around 160 international companies. A wide range of products and solutions from the field of organic and printed electronics were presented.
The areas of Consumer Goods & Electronics, Transportation, Medical, Intelligent Textiles and Packaging are particularly relevant for printed electronics. These are areas in which Lohmann has extensive experience.

Special adhesive tape for innovative heating concept

Experts from the fields of Consumer Goods & Electronics and Application Engineering at Lohmann were exhibiting at the event at a joint stand with the KEX Knowledge Exchange, an information service provider for technology and market information.
In the "Printed Electronics" consortium project, the company developed a prototype of an innovative heating concept for electric cars together with a well-known automobile manufacturer and the special film supplier Louisenthal under the direction of KEX. Lohmann is involved in the project with an electrically conductive high-tech adhesive tape that combines the bonding of different substrates with functional properties. Frederik Klöckner, KEX Technology Manager says "I'm always impressed to see which innovative solutions our cross-industrial partners are able to realise in such a short time."

The great interest of the visitors at the stand showed that the fair offered a suitable platform to present the project. Peter Harendt, Head of Application Engineering at Lohmann, emphasised: "LOPEC has evolved into the most important fair for printed electronics. A few years ago, LOPEC was mainly meant for a small circle of experts, today it is the international meeting point for all sectors of printed electronics within the entire value chain. Lohmann mustn't miss out."
