Basic Concepts of Cleaner Technologies

The implementation of cleaner technologies in order to produce better while polluting less is a necessary step if one wishes to develop industrial activities in harmony with the environment. This chapter presents the basic concepts of cleaner technologies. After describing the effects of industrial activities on the environment, a definition of the cleaner technologies is given. A methodology for the implementation is proposed. Finally, the advantages of cleaner technologies are presented, showing it to be of great interest to the industries.
