Abstract
In the IBM SPSS Modeler, the process to analyze data is implemented using streams. It typically starts with the access to the data and ends with the graphical representation of the results, e.g., the frequency distribution or the significance of a statistical test.
Using the datasets provided with this book, this chapter gives an outline of how to import the data into an IBM SPSS Modeler stream and perform basic operations on the dataset.
After finishing this chapter, the reader is able to …

Explain the necessity of value labels and know how to implement them in the SPSS Modeler

Use data handling methods, e.g., filtering, to extract specific information needed to answer research questions
