Abstract

Academic journals in business and management are increasingly focused on the use and misuse of various empirical methods and transparency in data and methods more generally. In this commentary, I provide some additional perspectives on the viewpoints of Cuervo-Cazurra, Andersson, Brannen, Nielsen, and Reuber (Journal of International Business Studies 47 (8): 881–897, 2016) with regard to the specific issues raised in the article related to the trustworthiness of qualitative and quantitative findings and the broader implications of their contribution.
