A total of 35 species of stomatopod crustaceans are reported for Costa Rica, including the information regarding specimens deposited at the Museo de Zoología, Universidad de Costa Rica, habitat, previous reports for Costa Rica, and distribution. Of these, six occur along the Caribbean coast and 29 along the Pacific coast including six species from Isla del Coco, two of which are endemic.
