Abstract
Cloud and mobile computing are dominant trends in modern technology. It is therefore natural to ask how one should best build systems that combine the two concepts. Current solutions tend to gravitate to one extreme or the other; either they place most functionality in the cloud via thin-client architectures, or they place most functionality on mobile devices via thick-client architectures.
