Abstract

In the last few years Padé approximants became more and more widely used in various fields of physics, chemistry and mathematics. They provide rational approximations to functions which are formally defined by a power series expansion. Padé approximants are also closely related to some methods which are used in numerical analysis to accelerate the convergence of sequences and iterative processes.
