Abstract

Ihave criticized 74 proposed resolutions of the Fermi paradox,\(^{393}\) so it’s only fair that I give my own. I was unhappy with the treatment I presented in the first edition to this book, so this time round I’m trying a different approach. The conclusion is the same, but the route I take to get there is rather different. This is by no means an original suggestion, but it does sum up what I feel the paradox might be telling us about our universe.
