Bioactive Essential Oils and Cancer

Abstract

Studies show the potentiation of chemotherapeutic drugs by essential oils, which is very important for cancer treatment and may allow the use of lower doses of toxic agents. In this chapter, the antitumor properties of essential oils are discussed, while focusing on synergy between essential oils and other cancer treatments and chemotherapeutic interactions.
