Abstract

The goals of this chapter are: i) to comment the weak formulations of non linear equations using the methods of chapter 3 (possibly combined with the upwinding techniques of chapter 2); ii) to review some theoretical and numerical results available in the mathematical and engineering literature, regarding the accuracy of these methods. (The numerical procedures for the solution of the linear and non linear related systems are briefly reviewed in chapter 5).
