Abstract
Supposing as given an R-calculus of the usual (minimal) sort, we may suppose further that the set 7 of values of the temporal variables t, t’, etc. constitutes a metric space (in the sense of Hausdorff). In such a case the R-system at issue will be said to embody a metric time. In the present chapter our attention will be directed to systems of this sort.
