Abstract
In hydraulic control systems of this type, flow is controlled by throttling the fluid passing through the variable orifice or orifices of a proportional control valve, thus converting pressure energy into kinetic energy. Provided the flow demand is within its capacity, the pump will act as a source of constant or substantially constant pressure.
