Abstract
The end of the 1980s was a significant turning point for a large part of Europe. The liberal political winds blowing from Moscow brought about several unprecedented developments — the fall of the Berlin Wall, the breakdown of the socialist/communist regime in many European countries, the development of completely new economic-political communities and changing societies. All this also triggered the appearance of new values, the rethinking of former principles and rules, and the development of new meanings and views.
