Abstract
Everything that goes on in the courtroom, from the witness testimony to the examination and cross-examination conducted by the parties, is for the benefit of the judges sitting on the bench. By that token, each example that has been described in the preceding six chapters illustrates some facet of the involvement of the judges in these trials.
