Abstract
I became completely blind in my early fifties. I had had sight problems since my teenage years and they had worsened considerably during adulthood. Then, I had a simple, stupid accident at home when I hit my face on the edge of a table, which robbed me of what little sight I had, turning me from B2 to B1 in blind sports terms.
