Abstract

As selective laser melting (SLM) produced titanium-tantalum (TiTa) is new, little is known about the biological response of this material. In this chapter, porous TiTa lattice structures fabricated using SLM are characterised mechanically and biologically. The dimension accuracy of the structures is also investigated using their strut dimensions.
