Beautiful Viña del Mar is the perfect setting for the next International Conference on LCA in Latin America. We are pleased to announce that after 12 years, the CILCA conference returns to Chile. Key advances in database development, social-ACV methodology, and strategies aimed at involving the supply chain in corporate sustainability management and in transparency and product competitiveness through certified communication (Environmental Product Declarations-Type III (EPD)) have been implemented in the region as well (IES

2021), and others such sustainable finance (UNEP FI
2021), have become part of the current regional scenario, as well as new challenges associated with the rapid increase in temperature in recent years due to climate change (IPCC
2022). To analyze these emerging scenarios, opportunities, and trends from the LCA perspective, the CILCA 2023 conference will bring together international experts in a dialogue with practitioners and users from the public and private sectors of Latin America.
