Abstract

Das Kapitel geht den komplizierten Faktoren nach, die zum Niedergang der Landwirtschaft im Garhwal-Himalaya beitragen, einer Region, in der die Hälfte der Bevölkerung von der Landwirtschaft abhängig ist. Er untersucht die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels, einschließlich steigender Temperaturen und sinkender Niederschläge, auf die Pflanzenproduktion und die Ernährungssicherheit.
