The existence and uniqueness theorem does not define the solution in points where the right-hand sides of differential equations are discontinuous. Some methods of definition completing the solution in this case were considered in Filippov [36], Utkin [37], and Gerashenko and Gerashenko [38]. In this section the method of definition from Novozhilov [39] is discussed, such that there exists a normalization which carries the problem into the Tikhonov form considered previously.
