A homospheric orbit does not split away with and without a chiral environment. This fact implies that there is no direct method for converting a para-achiral molecule into a chiral one. However, a multistep conversion is available to solve this problem. Mislow and Siegel discussed the desymmetrization of achiral objects that contain one or more symmetry elements of the second kind (σ, i, or S4) and proposed the concept of (pro)p-chirality.[1] Later, Halevi added some extension to this concept. [2] This section deals with these issues from the present viewpoint.
