The Impact of Interactive Distance Learning Environment on the Development of Intellectual Abilities of Students

The article discusses the development of the education system through its digitalization and the creation of an interactive learning environment. Despite the classical learning models, the use of a hermeneutic approach to mastering new disciplines, which was laid down in reflective teaching methods, will allow a deeper understanding of the material being studied and a more meaningful application of it. As part of the hermeneutic approach, the category of understanding is considered as the art of interpreting texts, so the processes of global digitalization exacerbate the relevance of solving the problems of using information technologies and computer didactics. The article also reveals the essence of the concept of “interactive learning environment” (ILE), provides its analysis based on various definitions. Various approaches to the development of the ILE structure in the form of electronic structures that have different target orientations are described. Such structures perform various functions in the general educational space depending on the infrastructure of the educational space itself. This study provides the creation of an information learning environment through software implementation in accordance with regulatory state federal documents. The ISO technology software component chain is built. A new ISO definition is given. The main methodological and pedagogical principles that form the basis of the development of ISO are formulated. Thus, the application of the principles of the hermeneutic approach and the development of an interactive learning environment, which are outlined in the work, improves the quality of education throughout the educational space, and also provides the teacher and student with the opportunity to improve their learning skills and use the knowledge they have acquired, which will allow them to use them in the future for the development of their country and to enhance its prestige in the international arena.

IT-Technologies as a Backbone Element of the Educational Process

Modern education involves the use of information and communication technologies at different stages of the educational process. IT-technologies not only make it possible to automate the routine work of organizing the educational process, for example, scheduling, but also to improve the quality of education through the use of innovative intelligent digital technologies. A teacher who does not have specialized skills in programming and computer science sometimes loses the advantages of computer technologies due to a lack of understanding of their capabilities and place in their professional activity. The typology of IT technologies, in the context of their application in education, is designed to reveal the advantages of using computer applications and services, both in the activities of an individual teacher and for organizing the educational process as a whole. The relevance of the study is determined by the contradiction between the requirements of the state educational standard of teaching, indicating the maximum use of the capabilities of IT technologies in the educational process and the lack of pedagogical research on typologies and didactic properties of computer technologies and services. We will single out individual areas of pedagogical activity and, in accordance with them, classify various information and communication technologies and computer services. In our opinion, it is possible to define three types of application of IT-technologies in education: individual professional activity of a teacher, within the framework of which the teacher carries out the solution of their daily educational tasks; support of pedagogical activities, including technologies and services that ensure the organization of educational activities, both for the teacher and the institution as a whole; analysis of learning outcomes, designed to correct, predict and improve the quality of pedagogical influences.

Model for the Development of Technical University Teachers Digital Competencies

The paper is devoted to the problem of creating a unified model of digital competencies of higher education teachers. Focusing on universal digital competencies leaves aside the training of specialists for specific enterprises with their own digital resources. The models presented in the scientific literature define as constituent elements the educational ones directly related to the activities of an educational institution. The paper discusses the aspects of improving the presented models related to the needs of the labor market and specific industry in specialists. The authors of the paper have conducted a study aimed at expanding the understanding of the model of teachers’ digital competence development at an engineering university based on the opinions of experts from education, digital technologies and employers. The results of the study confirmed the hypothesis: the focus on the universalization of digital competencies and weak attention to the need of enterprises in specific digital skills in employees, leads to the lack of specific digital competencies in future specialists due to the specifics of digitalization of the enterprise. The inclusion of specific digital technologies in the practical training, as well as the accompaniment of teachers by tutors from the enterprise will further create the basis for improving the quality of training for specific enterprises or industry needs.

Integrating Digital Technologies into Financial Manager Training Programs

The use of modern digital technologies in the process of training financial managers enables future graduates to be more competitive in the labor market, to meet the demands of employers and improves the quality of the educational program implemented at the university. The ability to apply digital technologies in the process of future activities of financial managers enables them to quickly adapt to changes in the internal environment. And the introduction of digital components in the realized competences gives the opportunity to master new digital technologies, to constantly improve them and then successfully apply them in their professional activity. The paper considers the information resources used in the process of training financial managers on the example of Kazan National Research Technological University. The application of digitalization elements in the educational process allows students to master new digital platforms independently, since their primary skills were formed already in the first courses, and not only in mastering professional, but also universal and general professional competencies. Based on the experience gained in the implementation of digital components, it is proposed to introduce them in all other disciplines of the curriculum, or to fix them to the competencies implemented in the main educational program. This will enable graduates - financial managers to freely use the acquired skills and competencies in practical activities, and will also lead to the need for teachers to constantly improve their qualifications in this area.

Integration of Digital Solutions into the University Educational Process

The relevance of the study is due to the constant transformation processes occurring in higher education. The modern high-tech digital world places demands on the improvement of educational activities. The implementation of digital solutions is becoming not just a trend, but a necessity to ensure the competitiveness of universities and training of specialists who meet the requirements of the digital economy. In this regard, a study aimed at identifying trends used by university teachers, their attitude to the use of digital technologies and their readiness for innovation in this area is of particular relevance. The leading method of the presented study was a survey, in which 103 teachers from two leading Kazan universities took part. Structural and comparative analysis of the survey results allowed us to obtain an objective picture of the current state of integration of digital solutions into the university educational process, identify problem areas and determine prospects for further development. As a result of the study, trends and priorities in the use of digital trends were identified: artificial intelligence has become the leader in teachers’ preferences in the last 3 years, the use of mobile devices is becoming less relevant, and there is little interest among teachers participating in the study of universities in the inclusion of gamification in the educational process. The data obtained will form the basis for the development of effective strategies for implementing digital solutions, advanced training of teachers and improvement of educational programs, which ultimately will contribute to improving the quality of higher education and training in-demand specialists.

Distribution of Students by Competence Levels from the Point of View of Statistical Physics

The problem of finding measurable indicators reflecting the quality of education at universities is considered. It is shown that the existing methods of compiling university rankings are guided de facto by the analysis of the prerequisites for obtaining a quality education, but not by the actual result. The problem of finding a measurable indicator that reflects the level of competence of university graduates remains unresolved. It is shown that the solution to this problem can be found through finding the optimal distribution of students by competence levels, which, in turn, can be established using classical methods of statistical physics. It is shown that it is possible to find an analog of the Boltzmann distribution, reflecting the distribution of students by competence levels for given macroscopic parameters, which are the characteristics of a particular university (by analogy with such macroscopic parameters as temperature and pressure). Using the reference theoretical distribution of students by competence levels, we can offer a measurable indicator, which is a measure of the deviation of the real distribution of grades received by students at exams from the theoretical optimum. The influence of subjective factors on the result of calculating the specified measurable indicator is discussed. It is shown that even with attempts to artificially distort the result, its impact on the quality of the educational process remains positive.

Higher Education in the Context of Digitalization Necessity and Sufficiency

The digital environment is rapidly changing contemporary socio-cultural space, including higher education. The aim of this research is to analyze the opinions of residents of the capital megapolis of Russia – the city of Moscow – regarding the necessity and sufficiency of higher education; to identify factors that influence these opinions. The results of the study fully showed that almost all respondents consider higher education to be important and necessary, but not complete and high-quality enough in the era of digitalization, which requires constant, continuous and flexible learning. The gender and current level of education of the respondents do not influence the opinion about the need for higher education, younger survey participants are more likely to doubt its necessity, while the older generation tends to consider higher education both necessary and sufficient. It has been determined that respondents’ perceptions of the necessity of higher education are statistically significantly connected with defining a university as a practice-oriented platform with a qualified teaching stuff and various forms of extracurricular activities and student leisure. The connection has also been identified between the perception of a university as the source of corruption threats and the opinion about the lack of necessity for higher education.

The Impact of Digitalization of Preschool Education on the Interaction of Natural Social and Artificial Intelligence

Relevance. In the modern world, characterized by rapid digitalization of all spheres of life, preschool education also does not remain aloof from the influence of technological innovations. However, this process requires a balanced and critical approach that takes into account both the potential opportunities and risks associated with the use of digital technologies in preschool age. The problem of this study has as its source the contradictions arising between the conscious positive influence of the digital educational environment on educational results and significant shortcomings in methodological support. The purpose of the study is to analyze existing digital products that can be used in the educational process of kindergarten for the comprehensive development of senior preschoolers in five different educational areas. Method: a theoretical review of studies that have been published over the past five years and concern the impact and structuring of the digital educational environment in kindergarten, as well as the potential of digital tools for the comprehensive development of senior preschool children. Conclusions: digitalization of preschool education requires a balanced and conscious approach. Digital tools can be a useful addition to traditional forms of education, training and development of preschoolers, but should not replace them completely. At the same time, the risk increases that artificial intelligence can replace natural intelligence, since children will not learn to think independently. It is important to integrate digital resources into the educational process in a measured and appropriate manner, using them to diversify activities, increase children's motivation, individualize learning, but at the same time maintaining the priority of live movement, active games, direct interaction with the outside world and peers.

The Impact of Neural Networks on the Educational Outcomes of Students of Pedagogical Specialties

The relevance of the research is associated with the lack of objective analysis of the positive and negative aspects of the influence of neural networks on the educational outcomes of university students. Educational results are recorded through quantitative data (scores) which indicate how well students have assimilated knowledge and developed necessary skills, competencies, and personal qualities during their study of both cultural and professional blocks. The study of the influence of neural networks on educational outcomes in several universities in the Republic of Tatarstan showed that the use of neural network resources significantly affects cognitive activity and the ability to independently acquire new knowledge. The reliability of the results was assessed using Pearson’s χ2 (chi-square). It was found that in higher education institutions, the negative effects of neural networks manifest as a decrease in student activity in scientific and technological events, as well as a decline in interest in creativity. This occurs despite the existence of numerous government programs aimed at developing students’ creative potential. The conclusion was made that the effectiveness of using neural networks to enhance students’ educational outcomes depends on the presence of methodological and technological approaches, which are currently being developed by many programmers and pedagogical researchers.

Exploring Social Network Usage and Well-Being Among College Students

Social media plays a significant role in bringing the world together with just a click. However, social media addiction is rapidly increasing, especially among the youth, which affects their mental health and well-being. Instagram is one of the social media sites that is used mainly by students. Due to increasing exposure to Instagram, including the short videos, called Reels, today's students consume the content at an alarming rate, thus becoming addicted to it. College students tend to relentlessly use Instagram, without considering the time and energy wastage or addressing its impact on their mental health and well-being. The present study aimed to (1) explore the relationship between Instagram usage and mental well-being among college students in India, and (2) examine whether Instagram usage serves as a meaningful predictor of students’ mental well-being. The findings reveal a significant negative correlation (r = −0.332, p < .001) between Instagram usage and students’ well-being, indicating that higher Instagram use is associated with lower levels of mental well-being among college students. Further, a simple linear regression analysis confirmed that Instagram usage is a significant predictor of well-being (F(1, 154) = 19.099, p < .001), explaining a meaningful portion of the variance. The results highlight the need for educators, parents and other stakeholders to recognise the influence of social media, especially Instagram, on students’ mental health and well-being and develop strategies to promote healthier usage patterns.

The Problem of Estimating the Teacher’s Time Spent on Preparing Digital Educational Content

The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the massive transfer of elements of the educational process to electronic and remote formats have spurred the development of digital technologies and their widespread implementation in higher education. Obviously, independent work and part of the lectures will remain in digital format. The situation looks more complicated with seminars, practical, and even more so laboratory classes, but the percentage of digital technology use in them will steadily increase. The learning technology itself is becoming hybrid, multimodal, combining elements of a classical approach – classroom classes with a teacher, as well as a large percentage of distance, electronic, and online education. All this brings to the fore the problem of the formation and support of digital educational content of higher education institutions. The main problem of many electronic educational systems, including moodle, is a sharp increase in the labor costs of teachers in the preparation, placement and maintenance of digital educational content. This problem is of an international nature, the main focus of research is on the introduction of increasingly new technological solutions, but they do not always help reduce the burden on the teacher. This problem came to the fore during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the teaching of high-tech disciplines (IT, natural sciences, medicine, etc.). As a result, updating the methods of calculating teachers’ labor costs is required. A possible solution to this problem may be a conditional division into areas with a standard CSC, an advanced and advanced CSC level. This will allow you to control the process of increasing time (and financial) costs and introduce the most advanced technical IT solutions into the educational process. A formula is also proposed for calculating the teacher’s time spent on the preparation, development and placement of the CSC, taking into account the three levels of complexity of the CSC. The provisions of the methodological package and the information support package for teachers have been developed in order to reduce the time spent working with the COC, which will improve the quality of digital educational content.

Pairing a Neural Network with a Science Fiction Novel: New Opportunities for Psychological Diagnostics of Students and Schoolchildren

A new approach to the psychological testing of students is proposed, based on pairing the text of a science fiction novel with a neural network. The text of the novel, specially written for this work, is full of hyperlinks, the transitions on which provide a connection with the neural network. More precisely, each link is a neuron of the first layer of the network. When following this link, the state of the neuron changes from zero to one. As a result, a well-defined digital image of the reader interacting with the novel is created, fixed in binary variables and analyzed by the neural network.
