Munich-based fabless semiconductor manufacturer Inova Semiconductors specializes in broadband data connections for displays in car infotainment. Its interface IP has become an industry standard. With smart LED driver chips and a dedicated data bus, the company has created a second mainstay. Robert Kraus, Co-Founder and CEO, talks about his ecosystem, the Asian business, and the future symbiosis of display and lighting.
Robert Kraus started his career in 1986 at the US- semiconductor manufacturer Motorola Semiconductor in Munich. In addition to various management functions in product, design and application engineering, he was also responsible for setting up design centers in Eastern Europe and cooperating with local semiconductor manufacturers after the Berlin Wall had fallen. From 1997 onwards, he led the development of automotive standard components worldwide. Together with a partner and venture capital, Robert Kraus founded Inova Semiconductors in 1999, which he has run as managing partner since then.
