Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) is a computational technology that bridges the gap between Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) by utilizing the same spline basis underlying a CAD model for Finite Element Analysis (FEA). First introduced by Professor Thomas J.R. Hughes and his research group at the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 [5], IGA has exploded in popularity in the two decades since, and the first paper on the topic of IGA now has over 7500 citations on Google Scholar. There is currently a large community of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians conducting research on IGA, and several commercial entities are adopting IGA into their design-through-analysis workflows or even developing their own IGA software. …
