Abstract

In the present chapter and in the two following ones we deal with the study of elastic bodies which occupy a domain in the form of a parallelepiped, as well as with the study of the bodies which occupy infinite domains, obtained from the above mentioned one, by throwing to infinite one or several of its faces. Thus, we shall consider all spatial domains bounded by planes parallel to the co-ordinate planes, hence by planes parallel or orthogonal to each other.
