BYD is bringing three electric-powered passenger cars to Europe in the fall of 2022: the Han sedan, the Tang seven-seat family SUV and the Atto 3 compact SUV.

Chinese automaker and battery manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dreams) will launch a range of electrified passenger cars in key European markets in fall 2022. These will be three all-electric passenger cars: the BYD Han sedan in the E segment; the BYD Tang, a seven-passenger family SUV; and the European-styled BYD Atto 3, a C-segment electric SUV.

BYD Han, BYD Tang and BYD Atto 3 are scheduled to be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in October this year. The first passenger cars from BYD are to be delivered to European customers in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The Han sedan features two electric motors combined with an all-wheel drive system. The combined output of the dual-motor system delivers 380 kW (516 PS) and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 3.9 s. The Han is equipped with BYD’s Blade battery with LFP cells.

The Tang e-SUV, launched as a pilot in Norway in August 2021, is designed to carry up to seven people. The Tang, equipped with variable all-wheel drive, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 s. Blade battery technology is also used in the Tang. The compact Atto 3 is the first SUV based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. This is an 800 V platform. The C-segment SUV has a standard heat pump and the Blade battery.
