Abstract

The article delves into the application of 2D MoSi2N4 as a promising electrode material for Li-air batteries, utilizing DFT studies to explore its performance as both an anode and cathode. The research highlights the high Li-ion conductivity and favorable environment stability of MoSi2N4, making it suitable for efficient Li storage. The study systematically investigates the phase diagram of Li-loaded MoSi2N4, revealing stable anode potentials during the Li storage process. Additionally, the energy diagram of Li2O2 growth on MoSi2N4 is explored, showing stable cathode potentials during the growth of Li2O2 slabs. The findings suggest that 2D MoSi2N4 could be a game-changer in the development of next-generation Li-air batteries, offering stable and efficient energy storage solutions.
