Abstract

The chapter introduces SuperFlow, a cutting-edge framework designed to improve 3D representation learning in autonomous vehicles. By harnessing the temporal dynamics of LiDAR data, SuperFlow addresses the challenges of varying point cloud densities and the inherent temporal nature of LiDAR acquisitions. It incorporates view consistency alignment, dense-to-sparse regularization, and flow-based contrastive learning to enhance the semantic representation of 3D environments. Through extensive experiments, SuperFlow demonstrates superior performance across diverse datasets, showcasing its potential to revolutionize the field of autonomous driving by providing more robust and context-aware 3D perception models. The framework's ability to scale up both 2D and 3D backbones further highlights its promise for future advancements in autonomous vehicle technology.
