Abstract

This article delves into the design and implementation of a 10-bit SAR ADC with a focus on energy efficiency and low-noise performance. The proposed switching scheme achieves a 99.9% energy saving and 93% area reduction compared to conventional schemes, making it highly suitable for low-power applications. The article also introduces a low-noise comparator design that improves the response speed and noise performance of the SAR ADC. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design, with a SNDR of 58.56 dB and a SFDR of 71.88 dB. The article provides a comprehensive comparison with state-of-the-art schemes, highlighting the advantages of the proposed design in terms of energy efficiency and area reduction. Additionally, the article discusses the impact of process variations and temperature on the performance of the SAR ADC, providing valuable insights for practical implementations.
