Abstract

This chapter delves into the complex dynamics of leishmaniasis, a parasitic disease posing significant global health threats. It introduces a detailed mathematical model that considers various subpopulations, including humans, reservoir hosts, and sandflies. The study focuses on stability analysis and numerical simulations using both classical and fractional-order models. The Adams–Bashforth method is employed to solve the fractional model, enabling comparisons with the classical model. This approach predicts the progression of leishmaniasis in Sudan and offers insights into disease control strategies. The chapter is structured to provide a thorough understanding of the model design, stability analysis, numerical methods, and simulation results. It concludes by recommending the adoption of both classical and fractional models for improved disease prediction and control.
