Abstract

The article discusses the technological advancements in nuclear power plants over the past two decades, focusing on the increasing demand for electricity and the role of nuclear power in meeting this demand. It reviews the use of nanoparticles to enhance heat transfer and safety in nuclear reactors, including their application in operational cooling, severe accident management, and nano-surface coatings. The article also covers neutronic studies and optimizations using artificial neural networks (ANNs) and other advanced techniques. The review highlights the potential of nanoparticles to significantly improve the performance and safety of nuclear power plants, making it a valuable resource for professionals and researchers in the field.
