Abstract

The chapter delves into the application of thermal sealant in electric vehicle battery systems, highlighting the critical role of precise thermal isolation for battery longevity and efficiency. It introduces a sophisticated imaging system that utilizes a profiler laser sensor attached to a robot for real-time monitoring and control of the thermal sealant application process. The system ensures high accuracy and reliability, addressing common challenges such as variations in part geometries and positions. The chapter also discusses the integration of a user-friendly software interface that facilitates data acquisition, processing, and error logging, enabling operators to detect and rectify any deviations promptly.
