Abstract

The article presents a direct error correction method for quantum machine learning (QML) on noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices. The proposed method focuses on learning-based error mitigation, using classical linear regression models to correct the classical probabilities of each qubit in the quantum circuit. Experiments on real quantum devices and simulators demonstrate that the method significantly improves the convergence speed of QML models, including quantum generative models (QGMs), quantum neural networks (QNNs), and quantum circuit learning (QCL) models. The method is shown to be effective for a variety of cost functions and quantum circuits, making it a promising tool for practical quantum advantage in machine learning on NISQ devices.
