A Dynamic Load Balancing Strategy Based on Feedback for Cluster Rendering System

Abstract

In accordance with the issue of load imbalance in sort-first cluster rendering system, we present a dynamic load balancing strategy based on feedback. The proposed strategy improves the render history based load balancing method by the way of introducing load ratio, employing single exponential smoothing method and adding handling of the abrupt scene. The experiment verifies these improvement and illustrates that the proposed strategy can reduce the rendering time on exploding render model. Compared with the render history based load balancing method, the proposed strategy can divide load more uniformly among rendering nodes.
