Abstract

The article introduces a groundbreaking hydrogel triboelectric nanogenerator (H-TENG) designed to harvest bio-mechanical energy and monitor boxing training. The H-TENG features self-healing capabilities and is fabricated using a hydrogel composed of potassium chloride (KCl) and Laponite, providing high tensile strength and ionic conductivity. This innovative device can be integrated into wearable electronics, such as boxing gloves, to monitor motion information and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The H-TENG demonstrates excellent electrical performance, with a voltage output of 90 V and a current output of 0.72 μA, and maintains stability over 15,000 working cycles. The device's self-healing properties are showcased through experiments, highlighting its potential for long-term use in sports and biomedical applications. The article also discusses the device's potential in monitoring boxing performance, demonstrating its ability to measure impact forces and provide real-time feedback.
