Abstract

The article introduces an innovative identity-based authentication scheme for underwater green transport systems (UwGTs) using elliptic curve cryptography. It highlights the importance of secure communication in maritime transportation and addresses the limitations of traditional cryptographic methods in resource-constrained environments. The proposed scheme is designed to be lightweight, efficient, and secure, offering significant improvements over existing pairing-based authentication methods. The article also includes a comprehensive security analysis and performance evaluation, demonstrating the superiority of the proposed scheme in terms of computational costs, communication costs, energy consumption, and energy efficiency.
