Abstract

The article discusses the importance of secure quantum summation in various applications such as quantum anonymous voting and quantum key agreement. It introduces a new three-user secure quantum summation protocol that uses single-particle states, simplifying the initial quantum resource requirements and reducing the complexity of quantum measurements. The protocol is designed to be resistant to both outside attacks and participant attacks, ensuring the privacy and security of the users' private messages. The authors provide a detailed comparison with existing protocols, highlighting the advantages of their proposed method in terms of initial quantum resource, users' quantum measurement, and the usage of quantum operations. The article concludes by suggesting potential extensions of the protocol and the need for further research in secure semiquantum summation protocols.
