Abstract

This chapter delves into the critical role of machine vision algorithms in industrial applications, specifically for angle detection. It begins by highlighting the importance of accurate angle measurement in maintaining high production quality and efficiency. The chapter explores various approaches, including geometric analysis of image matrices and machine learning algorithms, each with its unique advantages and applications. Notably, the integration of machine vision systems into vibratory feeding systems is discussed, showcasing how these systems can bridge the gap between movement and feeding mechanisms. The chapter also details the development of a machine vision-based algorithm for detecting angles, emphasizing the design of illumination and separation traps for product contour extraction and geometric analysis for position information.
