Not all users of computer graphics use colour. In fact there are major application areas in architecture and Computer Aided Design with a marked preference for the monochrome line-drawing blue print type output. In this chapter we discuss a general hidden line algorithm which, using line-drawing routines only, can produce architectural designs, machine-parts etc., with any line in the scene, which is blocked from view by the bulk of other objects, being suppressed.
