Abstract

The rapid growth of intelligent devices has led to an increased demand for time-sensitive and computation-intensive applications, challenging the capabilities of individual devices and central cloud processing. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) brings cloud capabilities to the edge, offloading tasks to MEC servers to reduce device load. However, MEC servers face limitations in processing capacity, leading to the need for efficient load balancing strategies. This article introduces a multi-edge joint offloading method that considers group cooperation topology features, aiming to optimize load balancing and enhance system stability. The proposed MHSAC algorithm uses hierarchical graph attention networks to capture topological relationships and multi-agent Actor-Critic networks to make collaborative offloading decisions. The method is validated through simulations, demonstrating superior performance in load balancing and task completion rates compared to existing approaches.
