Abstract

The article introduces a Multi-strategy Improved Sparrow Search Algorithm (MSSSA) that addresses the limitations of the original Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA) by incorporating chaotic mapping, adaptive adjustment strategies, and perturbation mechanisms. The MSSSA algorithm demonstrates improved performance in optimization problems and is applied to medium-term electricity load forecasting in microgrids. The study compares the MSSSA algorithm with other state-of-the-art metaheuristics and evaluates its effectiveness through comprehensive experiments and real-world case studies. The results showcase the superiority of MSSSA in both optimization capability and practical application, making it a valuable tool for addressing complex optimization problems and enhancing electricity load forecasting models.
