Abstract

The article explores the critical role of high-gain DC-DC converters in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electric vehicles. It delves into various types of converters, highlighting the advantages and limitations of existing solutions. The proposed converter, designed for solar-PV applications, offers a unique combination of features: continuous input current, low voltage stress, and a common ground connection. This converter, which consists of two inductors and two switches, is particularly notable for its efficiency and practicality, making it an ideal choice for renewable energy applications. The article provides a detailed analysis of the converter's working principles and performance, showcasing its superiority over traditional quadratic boost converters and other high-gain converters.
